Set around 3 silver birches, this was first built as a floating meditation platform, high in the trees, a place to seek stillness through the moving winds. Then we brought it down to earth, floor by floor, with the bottom section being enclosed last of all. With each floor independently and integrally secure, this is a truly unique building. Made almost entirely from recycled materials, it was a nearly no-cost eco-construction.

The ground floor is Mellowcroft’s communal lounge and kitchen, where a 1960’s Rayburn provides hot water, cooking and warmth. The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary equipment for visitors. Newly installed on the first floor in 2014 is our Hot Tub (LINK REQ.). High in the tree-tops, comfortably sized for up to 6 people, it is heated all-year-round by the trusty Rayburn. You will enjoy beautifully soft hot water without harsh chemicals, due to our use of spa-quality environmentally-friendly water treatment. To us, such eco-opulence seems the very essence of Mellowcroft – absurd luxury set deep in unspoiled nature. It’s the spa you never dreamed possible.
